Congratulations to Vololodymyr Pavlovych Horbulin on a significant date!
We are very glad to congratulate the Hero of Ukraine, First Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Pavlovych Horbulin on his 85th birthday, which he meets with his daily creative work, the desire to implement new ideas and plans.
It is worth mentioning that he is the initiator and creator of the scientific, political and legal foundations of the national security system of Ukraine, which operates effectively today in the conditions of russia’s undeclared war against Ukraine.
It is no exaggeration to say that Ukrainian analysts and politicians grew up on Volodymyr Horbulin’s school, formed by him as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, Editor-in-Chief of the scientific publication “Strategic Panorama”.
Volodymyr Pavlovych’s works in recent years are devoted to the issues of countering the russian aggressor, and he is one of the first Ukrainian politicians and scientists on this path.
Let us recall that in March 2014, the newspaper “Dzerkalo Tyzhnya” published his open letter to Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yevgeny Primakov. Volodymyr Horbulin called for finding ways out of the crisis, because “a bad peace is better than a good war, and the exchange of even the most unpleasant words is much better than the exchange of the softest bullets”. In his response, Academician Primakov repeated almost verbatim volodymyr putin’s theses, which are already known today, and accused Ukraine of starting the war.
Today, Volodymyr Horbulin consistently continues the fight against the russian aggressor, and we always support his efforts.
